It's Mitzvah Time!

This weekend was full of fun set ups and lots of color.

A girl named Emerson loved candy and bright colors. We decided to take her favorite colors turquoise/magenta, and highlight them around the room with linens, napkins, and chair sashes. Large over sized hand painted candy bars was chosen for the centerpieces. They were placed on large glass cylinders on top of polka dot linens. The room was playful and perfect for a mitzvah. On the kids tables, we placed large lollipops that spelled out her name. In the entrance, guests were greeted with a candy card that first served as a card table and then was the spot for real candy galore. We thank St. Ives Country Club for their help and looking after us when we were there.

We worked with another family who was interested in having four different events at Beth Shalom. Here is a description of just two of the events: For the Friday kiddish, we provided seven gorgeous sunflower arrangements. They were set on blue and green linens along with votive candles and table numbers all provided by Let's Celebrate.

Then for Saturday night mitzvah celebration, we transformed the room into a travel theme. The tables had alternating blue and green linens to the floor with coordinating napkins. All the chairs were covered and had matching chair sashes. There were two different types of centerpieces: globes and postcards. Hand painted globes sat on top of glass cylinders with vinyl country names down the side, while the postcards sat on square vases .  Each postcard was hand painted and chosen by the family as previous travel locations.
