Party It Up!

Mad Scientist

It's not everyday that you get a client wanting decor for a mad scientist party, but we were excited for this opportunity to create a laboratory perfect for any scientist in training with all the authentic paraphernalia. Each centerpiece consisted of real lab beakers filled with different colors and consistencies of "chemicals" ready to be mixed. Goggles were placed around in case an experiment got out of hand. The kids tables had over sized beakers with bubbles (clear balloons) coming out the top! The tables had a swirled silver pattern that worked nicely with the theme and was rented from CoverUps.

Georgia Aquarium
Zack's mitzvah was held at the GA Aquarium in the Ocean's ballroom with two large viewing walls with belugas, whales, fish, and stingrays perfect for his underwater scuba theme. The adult centerpieces consisted of one vase filled with coral, shells, and sand and placed on a mirror. Surrounding the vase were tea lights, floating candles, and some more shells. The kid's centerpieces consisted of large wooden fish props or vases filled with gel and fish silhouettes covering the outside. Netting, shells, and scuba goggles were placed around these centerpieces. Calla lily floral arrangements were placed on the buffet tables. All the tables were covered in blue and turquoise crinkled taffeta linens that mimicked the waves in the ocean.

 Mason Murer Paint Mitvah

A paint themed mitzvah looked great in the gallery space at Mason Murer. The centerpieces consisted of different tools in an artist's tool box. Some tables had over sized paint tubes with paint splashing out while others were paint cans knocked over spilling onto the table. Another variety featured paint splatters and artist palettes. All the highboys were covered in drawing paper with a mini paint bucket filled with markers and pencils for all the little artist to leave their host a note. Miniature paint easels held all the table numbers. The rooms was very vibrant with all the colors of the rainbow splashing against the white walls.

March Madnesss

March 1st has arrived and this means it is now basketball season as everyone prepares for the March Madness. It was a perfect time for Robby to have his basketball mitzvah held at the railroad depot in downtown Atlanta. The adult centerpieces were elevated and at the top were basketballs with pennants of Robby's favorite teams! Behind the dance floor hung a customized scoreboard in celebration of his special day. The kids centerpieces were basketball balloons attached to vases filled with gel and up lit with color changing light. The entrance for perfect for any all star with an orange carpet leading to a silver truss decorated with basketball pennants and flanked with basketball players up lit in orange. Finally, the cocktail area was draped to divide it from the rest of the room where the main event was held.

Springtime is in the Air

Kyle celebrated his special day at the St. Ives Country Club. His centerpieces were some luscious floral arrangements consisting of large monstera leaves and hydrangeas. A calming blue pattern was used to decorate the vases and as a unifying theme. The sophisticated organic floral arrangements were contrasted against a deep blue pintuck linen. The perimeter of the room was up lit in blue lighting to complete the look of the room.

As the weather warms up, we are reminded of a day at the ballpark. Parker's favorite team, the Braves, was highlighted all throughout the event. Two different centerpieces were chosen for the adult tables that featured authentic baseball paraphernalia such as bats, balls, hats, and gloves. Natural elements were brought in with Areca trees around the perimeter and wheat grass on the centerpieces to mimic the baseball field's grass.

NACE Trend Tables

This year Let's Celebrate teamed up with some great people to do a trend table at this year's NACE meeting at the AmericasMart. We want to thank Dee Lane Eades with Graceful Tables for the beautiful linens, Sheena from Quest Drape for the draping, Halls for the flowers, and James Nesmith from the Peachtree Tents and Events for the checkered flooring! This table would not have looked so elegant without your help.

Here is a summary of what our table meant to us: "Our design concept table was inspired by the trend of repetition of objects in the everyday world and how they can be conveyed beautifully in a display perfect for any occasion. Up close viewers will notice the intricate copper details on the slender arrows and the figurative embossed targets. The repetition of one single object lets the viewer focus on the beauty of singularity while also experiencing the impact of the design as a whole.  This motif carries your eye from the back of the chairs, to the dish settings, then moving up the sleek white pedestals, and lastly finishing at the top with fresh fragrant florals with the multitude of arrows. The juxtaposition of a mundane man-made object against the splendor of organic florals and moss help represent the struggles of reaching intangible ideals of romanticism versus dealing with the harsh realities of the real world"

Parties Galore

This past week has been full of all sorts of parties: Mitzvahs, renovation celebration, and a father daughter dance.

"Julie loves NY!" Julie had an adorable NY city themed mitzvah in vibrant turquoise, yellow, and black. Her centerpieces highlighted the different locations that are most popular in the city such as Central Park, Wall Street, Yankee Stadium, 5th Avenue, and Times Square. Over the dance floor hung coordinating colored lanterns. The kid's side had lounge furniture with optic spray centerpieces and a personalized marquee that blinked behind the food station. And finally, she had a candy cart with an assortment of goodies for everyone to enjoy. As her guests entered the room, they were greeted with a replica of the statue of liberty and a city scene. The place cards were set on miniature taxi cars. I hope Julie felt like for one night she was in the big apple.

Adam's favorite sport is ice hockey, so we decorated everything at 103 West in black, red and silver. The centerpieces emphasized his personalized logo, stars, and hockey pucks. Our artists created a sign to hang in the kids area that featured his logo and over sized hockey sticks. On the opposite side of the room was a lit up candy cart with a mixture of overflowing candy ready to be eaten.

DeKalb Medical Center was throwing a renovation themed party in a setting literally in the middle of renovation. We decorated the cocktail tables and highboys with cylinders filled with renovation items such as paint brushed, protective eye wear, tools, paint chips, caution tape, etc. We set everything on mirror bases to give a bigger feel and lit up the gel centerpieces to add a glow to each table. We then created an artist installation out of ladders and planks of wood where the guests could pick up their custom hardhats as a part favor. We also decorated it with construction materials and uplight the whole display from behind. The entire space felt like an upscale construction renovation zone perfect for celebrating their occasion.

Piedmont Driving Club every year holds a father daughter dance with hundreds of attendees. We have the privilege of being able to decorate for them year after year. This year's theme was sock hop and we delivered giving them over 40 centerpieces with authentic records, over sized ice cream cones, music notes, jukeboxes, and large paddle balloons. The tables were covered in either turquoise, magenta, or black and white checker overlays. It gave the whole place that era themed look and felt like one was stepping back in time to a diner. We created a photo op with two sock hop characters and had a 6 foot tall ice cream sundae balloon sculpture when people first walked in. Pink socks were given away as favors along with cloth ice cream sundaes. I'm sure they danced the night away.

It's A New Year

Let's Celebrate has had a busy beginning of 2013. Here is a review of what we have been up to!

1. Piedmont Driving Club brought in the New Year with a black, gold, and silver balloon drop over their dance floor.

2. Need something that is clean looking and simplified for kiddish decorations. Different sized vases filled with water and floating candles always creates a lovely centerpiece.

3. Sports fans have a true love and dedication for their teams. We decorated for a Cincinnati Red's fan by highlighting important parts of the baseball game by incorporating wheat grass, authentic baseballs, pennants, and logos in their centerpieces.

4. Neon is a hot color this year! Hot pink, yellow, and turquoise filled the room with over sized flowers for a mitzvah celebration at the Dunwoody Country Club.

5. Cirque du Soleil just left Atlanta for this year's production, but for Sloan the circus was just rolling into town for her mitzvah. Over sized popcorn, trapeze silhouettes, and black and white feather arrangements filled the room.

6. The Marriott Marquis was filled with 24 gold and black paddle balloons throughout their hotel. It is a cost effective way to give a festive look in such a large space.

A Winter Wonderland ISES

A Legendary Event led by the notable Tony Conway opened their doors for a wonderful ISES event at 3109 Piedmont Estate and Gardens. Check out all it has to offer from its spacious wine cellar to the modern decorated rooms perfect for any occasion.

Sparkling Bat Mitzvahs

Sophie Sparkles

Sophie’s bat mitzvah at the Westin in Buckhead was a sophisticated celebration with magenta and lavender décor with sparkle accents. We designed the whole party around a wonderfully created logo that resembled a kaleidoscope or snowflake. In fact, we even created a 6 foot hand painted sign replicating the exact pink and lavender logo that read “Sophie’s Sparkles”.  The kids lounge area included We Rent Atlanta’s elegant white sofas, light up tables, and high boys. We added some sparkly pillows and two feather arrangements on top of our modern white vases. The centerpieces for the tables were alternated between two different floral designs. A 16 inch magenta carnation flower ball sat on half the tall glass vases filled with crystals while the other half were lavender carnation rings with large magenta feather arrangements. On the perimeter of the dance floor, we hung glittered cut outs mimicking the logo that glistened as the DJ lights shone on them.  In addition, clear balloons with shiny ribbon of all different pinks and purples hung over the dance floor giving a classy look that matched the rest of the decor. Overall, I hope Sophie enjoyed her night for it was a special night for her to never forget.

LiLei’s World

LiLei’s bat mitzvah at the Defoor Center in Atlanta was a unique space for all of her favorite things to be displayed. We incorporated all her favorite things in a one of a kind centerpiece centered around an oversized iphone with apps reflecting her love for shopping, coffee, social networks, tennis, and music. Each centerpiece sat on top of a vase lit up with LED lights in lime green gel. Around her dance floor we brought in our black ottomans, coffee table and modern lights, a perfect place for the kids to relax after a night full of food, celebrating, and dancing. Speaking of food, we also brought our candy cart for everyone to pick their favorite treat. In addition, we made a large purple, pink and green sparkly sign hanging near the DJ that said “LiLei’s World”. Congratulations LiLei! We hope your night was everything that you wished for and more.
